I took a look at some of these horrible gas guzzlers, and to a poor boy, I sure could use one.
Is there a difference between a person who drives a economy car 500 miles a week and a person that drives a Lincoln or Caddy around town or out to the golf course. Sure is, the person with the guzzler uses a lot less gas.
There are far more serious hospital cases with little cars than big cars. How will that impact hospital costs and insurance? So your guzzler runs fine. But you want better mileage so you spend 12,000 or more on a new cracker box. Now how far could you drive your guzzler that's paid off on $12,000-plus interest. My math says 4,000 gallons at $3 per gallon. That comes out to 60,000. At the end of that run pick up another clean guzzler a third the cost of another Red Chinese cracker box and your on your way in comfort.
They are destroying a lot of great cars without giving Mr Gill even a chance to part them out. Also, they could have sold ship loads of these cars to oil rich countries. Not that we need the money. What a complete insane asylum we are living in.
