INDIANAPOLIS - Rae Anne Carpenter served as a page for Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman on Jan. 22.
Pages spend one night at the State House helping with a variety of legislative duties and learning about the structure of Indiana's government.
According to Skillman, visiting the State Capitol and serving as a page provides young people, who are in the sixth grade or higher, the opportunity to observe and participate in the legislative process.
Rae Anne Carpenter is the daughter of Timothy and Christy Carpenter, Claypool. She is a senior at Tippecanoe Valley High School, Akron.
