Carpenter Finishes Third At Tampa TournamentTAMPA, Fla. — Triton High School senior Quentyn Carpenter was in Tampa, Fla. this week, competing in the 18th Annual Innisbrook Christmas Junior Golf Tournament. In the three-day tournament, which took place between Jan. 1 and 3, Carpenter finished with a 222, which was good enough for third place in a field of 105. Playing on a par-71 course, Carpenter, who’ll be playing at Ball State University next year, began the tournament with a 76, followed by a 71 and a 75. Carpenter’s 71 on Wednesday tied him for the lead and was just the second time someone shot par in the tournament, as the winner Jordan Miller did Thursday to capture the title with a 220 (75-74-71).
