Carol Margaret MaurerCarol Margaret Maurer, also known as “Nurse Carol,” 85, longtime Winona Lake resident and Grace Village Retirement Community resident, died at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2020.
She was born on Dec. 28, 1934, in Altoona, Pa., to Cleda Marie Tyler Sell and Ray Don Sell. On June 2, 1956, she was married to Raymond Gerald Maurer. Raymond died on Jan. 6, 2019.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Jan. 23 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw. There will also be time for visitation an hour prior to the service at the church from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 24.
Carol’s life will be celebrated with a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 24 at Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church, 1200 Kings Highway, Winona Lake, and officiated by Pastor Bruce Barlow and Pastor Kip Cone. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw.
