BOURBON – Carol K. Vampner, 75, of Etna Green, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2026, at Mason Health Care of Warsaw.
Carol was born on Aug. 10, 1950, to Lawrence and Amy LaRue Ulmer in Plymouth. She attended Triton High School and on March 24, 1973, she married David Vampner. She worked for United Telephone for 33 years until her retirement and then worked at Lowe’s in the customer service department. She was a member of Harrison Center Church of Etna Green. She enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with her family.
Carol is survived by her husband, David Vampner; her sister, Marilyn Scheffer; her nephew, Tony Knafel; and her niece, Tammy Trump.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Amy Ulmer; and her brother, Donald Shively.
Aquamation has been chosen and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to Harrison Center Church, 965 S. 800 W., Etna Green, in Carol’s honor.
