ROCHESTER – Carol Jean Cooper, 82, of 6600 N. CR 450E, Rochester, died at 6 a.m. Feb. 29, 2012, in Life Care Center.
She was born Aug. 9, 1929, in Rochester, to Harley and Essie Flagg Cooper. On April 18, 1953, she married Virgil L. Cooper, who died Oct. 13, 1996.
She was the office manager at Wilson’s Corn Products, Rochester, for more than 30 years. She loved all sports, but I.U. basketball was number one. Watching westerns was also a favorite pastime.
She will be lovingly remembered by a daughter, Tammy Cooper, Rochester; three sons: Virgil (and spouse Cynthia) Cooper, Foley, Ala.; Bob Copper, Tippecanoe; and Rick Cooper, Mentone; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Timmy, and a brother, Bobby Cooper.
A celebration of life will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester, with Chaplain Jason See officiating. Burial will be in Richland Center Cemetery.
