FORT WAYNE- Carol J. Hines, 80, Fort Wayne, died Feb. 2, 2011, in Provena Sacred Heart Home, Avilla.
She was born in Elkhart on Dec. 23, 1930, to the late Edward and Edith Anglemyer Ummel.
She was an avid Cubs fan, who never missed watching a game.
She is survived by a daughter, Maxine Bufink; two grandsons, Dave (and spouse Beth) Bufink, and Steve (and spouse April) Bufink; three great-grandchildren, Hunter, Kianna and Ethan; two brothers, Eldon and Herbert Ummel; three sisters, Joan Kirkham, Lios Knouff, and Phyllis Swick. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; a daughter, Patsy Shannon; and four brothers: Richard, Robert, Stanley and Max.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells St., Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery.
Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
