Carol Ann Owens, 78, Winona Lake, passed away at 3:05 a.m. Sept. 28, 2015, at Kosciusko Community Hospital of Warsaw. She was born Jan. 7, 1937, in Wabash, to Verlin and Ruby Pearl Sutton Parson. On June 11, 1990, she married Orville Owens who survives in Winona Lake. She was a resident of Kosciusko County since 1990, prior to that she had lived in Wabash County. She was a nurses aid at Peabody Retirement Community in North Manchester for about 19 years and retired in 1991. Also surviving are: her two sons, John (and spouse Barb) Owens, Warsaw; and Timothy Joe (and spouse Daniela) Conley, Butler; two daughters: Cynthia (and spouse Randy) Schmucker, Spencerville; and Cheryl and spouse Rod) Davis, Nappanee; nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren, a sister, Joyce (and spouse Jim) Emrick, Wabash; and two brothers, Max Parson, Wabash; Tony (and spouse Barb) Parson, North Manchester. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, with Chaplain Bob Jarboe officiating.
