Carnival Worker Arrested For Disorderly Conduct

A man with a criminal history in California, Utah, Texas, Idaho and Arizona was arrested Friday at the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds on a charge of disorderly conduct.

According to Warsaw Police Department reports, Steven Michael Kuna, 33, of Phoenix, Ariz., said he was at a party put on by the management of Pugh Shows, his employer and the company that provides the rides and some concessions for the Kosciusko County Fair. According to Kuna, five or six individuals beat him at the party.

Upon arrival at the fair office, police found Kuna's left eye was swollen and there was blood on his arms and scrapes on his elbows. WPD officers also detected an odor of alcohol on him.

During questioning, Kuna allegedly began swearing and making threatening remarks about the situation. He was then taken into custody for disorderly conduct.

Earlier, Pugh Shows management said Kuna threated to go get a gun and return.

Dominic Peter Alloco, 28, told police that at 3:30 a.m. Friday he was sleeping in his car near the fairgrounds when Kuna approached and began yelling and pounding on his vehicle. Kuna demanded to be taken someplace, according to police reports. Alloco refused and Kuna opened the car door and began destroying the turn signal, inside rear view mirror and windshield.

Alloco left and got help from fair officials. Upon returning, they found Kuna's face already bloody.

Robert Johnson, owner of BJ's concessions and yard boss for Pugh Shows, said Alloco came to him for assistance and he and two other employees went and pulled Kuna out of the vehicle. Kuna struggled with the men, Johnson said, but no one hit Kuna, according to the police reports.

Police transported Kuna to Kosciusko Community Hospital, where X-rays and a CT scan were performed. He was given a tetanus shot before being booked into the Kosciusko County Jail.

No charges were filed against anyone for battery to Kuna because injuries were believed to be caused by Kuna's refusal to exit Alloco's vehicle.

Police reports indicate that Kuna has been arrested in several other states for disorderly behavior.
