Carleton B. “Carl” Sattison, 85, of Warsaw (Barbee Lake), died at 5:23 p.m. Jan. 1, 2012, in Grace Village Healthcare, Warsaw.

He was born May 19, 1926, in Freemont, to Milo and Neva Crooks Sattison. On April 12, 1981, in Warsaw, he married Patricia J. “Pat” Cody, who survives.

He attended Dewy School, Freemont, and he lived in the Freemont and Archbold, Ohio, areas until moving to the Barbee Lake in 1980. He formerly worked at American Feed and Farm, Nappanee; Tusing Saw Mill as a truck driver and mechanic for many years; and was a truck driver for most of his life. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Oswego, and attended the Men’s Coffee Group at the church. 

Surviving are a daughter, Cathi (and spouse Dan)   Kerr, North Manchester; two sons, Dennis (and spouse Dianne) Sattison, Fayette, Ohio, and Carl “Mick” (and spouse Grace) Sattison, Wauseon, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Sharlene (and spouse Robert Momeyer, Warsaw; two stepsons, Ronald (and spouse Marcia) Cody, Archbold, Ohio, and Thomas (and spouse Brenda) Cody, Mentone; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Clara Rheinheimer, Angola; and five brothers: Arthur (and spouse Della) Sattison, Fremont; Don (and spouse Sue) Sattison, Auburn; Larry (and spouse Anna) Sattison, Hudson; Milo “Mike” Sattison, Pleasant Lake; and Carey (and spouse Diane) Sattison, Angola. He was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.

Services will be at noon Friday at Calvary Baptist Church of Oswego, Leesburg, with Pastors Kirk Barger, Greg Harden and Mark Kelly officiating.

Calling is from 9 a.m. to noon Friday at the church.
