Cardinal Services CEO Jane Wear announced the promotion of Drew Lyon to employment services director. Lyon will oversee the Career Links program. Career Links is the community employment arm of Cardinal Services, working with employers to determine their needs, and with people who need help finding and maintaining a job, according to a press release from Cardinal Services. Career Links specializes in matching the employer and worker. Last year, 192 men and women were guided through the job search process to independence by this supported employment program. Lyon previously held the position of adult services trainer at Cardinal, and brings to his new position a strong ability to listen and understand the needs of people and employers, the release states. “We don’t just say to a person, here’s a job – go do it. We want to help individuals find work in a vocation of their choosing and set them on that path,” he said. Lyon graduated from Grace College with a bachelor’s degree in counseling.
