Cardinal Services, a local non-profit serving people with disabilities and families with other needs, recently held their annual banquet recognizing employees for length of service with the company.
The Hollywood-themed event was held at the Ramada Hotel Ballroom in Warsaw. Included was a walk of fame with each honoree receiving their name on a star, a red carpet walk to the award podium, "paparazzi" taking photos and gifts from Cardinal Services.In keeping with the theme, North Point Cinemas provided special movie passes that were awarded by a drawing.
A total of 40 employees were recognized at this year's banquet. There were 25 people who marked their five-year anniversary; nine celebrated 10 years; five were honored for 15 years; and one celebrated his 20th anniversary with Cardinal Services.
The 20-year honoree, Gene O'Hara, began his career at Cardinal in 1989. Hired as the accounts payable bookkeeper, he now holds the position of general ledger bookkeeper. O'Hara and his wife, Jenny, live in Warsaw with their four children.
The 15-year honorees include Alex Boyd, facilities maintenance supervisor; Lynne Dittman, Head Start/Early Head Start director; Randy James, first mechanic; Jennifer Savage, direct support professional; and June Stealy, speech therapist.
Those marking 10 years with Cardinal Services are: Stacy Andrews and Mary Baker, CCI general laborers; Ron Baldridge, Sheila Busenburg, Beth Carmichael, Norma Lucy and Darlene Lyke, direct support professionals; Roland McFadden, commercial facilities manager; and Dottie Newman, KABS bus driver.
The five-year honorees are: Brenda Alderfer, Marlene Bell, Robin Caverley, Belinda Cole, Adam Combs, Carol Cooper, Jennifer Crispen, Linda Dea, Tiffany DeWitt, Regina Dodson, Teresa Duncan, Patrician Dinwiddie, Lola Hank, Linda Hoover, Ginger Hornbaker, Michelle Kennedy, Sarah Montel, Elizabeth Moore, Jackelyn Ochstein, Kevin Planck, Peggy Schaetzle, Stas Segienko, Mercedes Solorzano, Patience Taruwinga and Lillian Teeter.
Cardinal Services has 564 employees serving more than 3,500 people throughout Kosciusko, Marshall, Fulton and Cass counties.
