Car Show Will Highlight First FridayA massive car, truck and motorcycle show will be featured at downtown Warsaw’s First Friday.

Last year, the Cruisin Hoosiers car show lined up 150 vehicles, and festival coordinator Paula Bowman said she hopes to top that number on Friday.

In addition to the routine street closures, the city is closing a small section of Market Street to accommodate what is expected to be a large number of vehicles.

Most of the activities will be in the city hall plaza and courthouse square.

The car show will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the top 30 cars 28 years and older, 20 awards for newer cars and eight awards set aside for motorcycles.

Judging and a silent auction are scheduled for 8 p.m.

The auction is open to everyone and will include a wide array of items, Bowman said.

For those bringing classic cars, the gates open at 3 p.m. and drivers should enter the area from South Buffalo Street, she said.

Various food options will be available in the city hall plaza.

A disc jockey will provide music.

The car show entry fee is $12, and is a benefit for Baker Youth Club.
