Capt. John Boyle IV, 84, passed away on April 5, 2026.
Born June 11, 1941, in Kingman, Ariz., John graduated from Montebello High School in California and enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1960. He served honorably for more than 20 years, retiring with the rank of captain.
On Nov. 23, 1963, he married Susan Ruth Bradford, beginning a loving partnership that spanned more than 62 years. Together, they raised their three children: John Boyle V (“Jay”), Christine Boyle, Tyrone Boyle; and welcomed more than 25 foster children into their home over the years.
He is survived by his wife, children, nine grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
A devoted Christian, John dedicated his life to serving God, family and country. Following retirement, he earned a master’s degree in biblical counseling from Grace Theological Seminary.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, June 13 at 11:30 a.m. at North Webster Country Bible Church, 4782 N. CR 850E, Leesburg.
