AKRON – Candy J. “Jernigan” Francis, 42, of 6458 W. CR 1300S, Silver Lake, Kosciusko County, died at 3:25 a.m. Oct. 23, 2012, in her residence. She was ill for approximately one year and died of lung cancer.
She was born March 9, 1970, in Rochester, to Michael O. and Cindy L. Ginther Jernigan, who survive in Rochester.
She moved to Silver Lake from Rochester 12 years ago. She graduated from Rochester High School in 1988. She was a secretary of Stonehenge Golf Course, Warsaw, and was attending Ivy Tech College, Warsaw.
Also surviving are a son, Drew Francis, Silver Lake; a brother, Chad (and spouse Dana) Jernigan, Rochester; and her boyfriend, Erik Conley, Silver Lake.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Earl-Love Funeral Home, 811 E. Rochester St., Akron, with the Rev. Tom Craig officiating. Burial will be in Hoover Mt. Hope Cemetery, Athens.
