Candidate Files for Etna Green Council

Posted
One candidate has filed to fill Todd Slabaugh’s vacancy on the Etna Green town council.

According to Kosciusko County Republican Chairman Randy Girod, he received a declaration of candidacy from Andrew L. Cook, 327 E. High St., Etna Green.

Girod also clarified the process to fill Slabaugh’s position on the council.

Since the town only has one precinct committeeman, Joe Mooney, eligible to fill the vacancy a caucus is not required. That is per Indiana Code 3-13-11-5(b).

Girod and Mooney will come to a decision after the March 28 deadline for filing.

Interested, eligible candidates for the position of Etna Green town council  must file a declaration of candidacy (Form CEB-5) with Girod by March 28.

The declaration of candidacy form is available at the Kosciusko County clerk’s office and at the office of the Etna Green clerk-treasurer.
