Adams Makes Dean’s
LIMA, Ohio – The University of Northwestern Ohio announced that Travis A. Adams, Akron, made the Dean’s List for the June 2013 session in the College of Applied Technologies.
Full-time students must receive a grade point average of 3.5 or better to be named to the Dean’s List.
He is the son of Craig and Tiffany Adams, Akron.

Local Students Make An Impact Through U Of Evansville Freshman Service Project
EVANSVILLE – The University of Evansville announced Courtney Newsome, Mentone, and Jack Truman, South Whitley, participated in the Freshman Service Project Aug. 26.
The community service project sent new U.E. students to 20 locations throughout Evansville, including parks, community centers and other nonprofit organizations, to perform tasks ranging from painting to cleaning to landscaping.
The annual Freshman Service Project is part of Welcome Week, a program designed to help incoming students transition into college life before classes begin.
“The goal of the Freshman Service Project is to help new students get acquainted with the community they’ll call home during their college years,” said Geoff Edwards, director of U.E.’s Center for Student Engagement and coordinator of the Freshman Service Project. “Last year, U.E. students contributed more than 19,000 hours of community service, and we hope the Freshman Service Project inspires students to continue making an impact on the Evansville community.”
