Huntington Recognizes Dean’s List HUNTINGTON – Huntington University has announced the students that were named to the Dean’s List for the fall semester of the 2011-12 school year.
The Dean’s List is published two times per year at Huntington University. The honor recognizes students for outstanding academic achievement during the previous semester. Honorees must be classified as regular students, be enrolled full-time with a load of 12 hours or more in graded courses, and must achieve a semester grade point average of at least 3.50 on a 4-point scale.
The following students from the area were recognized: – Alisha Bird, a senior nursing major, Bourbon. – Sydnie Reed, a senior elementary and special education major, Mentone. – LeeAnn Ogle, a sophomore elementary education major, Syracuse. – Johanna Caron, a sophomore music education major, Warsaw. – Cendall Ogle, a sophomore undecided major, Warsaw. – Lauren Sowers, a freshman psychology major, Warsaw. – Katie Bowers, a junior applied exercise science major, Silver Lake. – Kristen Lahman, a senior elementary education major, North Manchester.
Arscott On Dean’s WEST LAFAYETTE – Tyler Arscott, a 2011 Warsaw Community High School graduate, earned Dean’s List honors for Purdue University’s 2011 fall semester.
He is majoring in biochemistry through the Honors College of Science, and has a 3.5 grade point average. He is the son of Ed and Amy Arscott, Warsaw.
Gable In Show MARIETTA, Ohio – Sara Gable, class of 2012, North Manchester, recently was selected to play the role of Polina during the February and March performances of “The Seagull” at Marietta College.
Gable is majoring in theater.
Mainstage series productions are performed in the Friederich Theatre, in the Hermann Fine Arts Center on the Marietta College campus.
Beery Receives Emporia State University Scholarship EMPORIA, Kan. – Alyson Beery, North Manchester, received the Mary L. Doris Memorial Special Education Scholarship and Betty Carter Manning Scholars Fund for the 2011-12 academic year at Emporia State University.
Scholarships are helping almost 1,400 Emporia State University students attending classes this academic year. The 2011-12 allocation of scholarship awards, at $1,836,727, is helping support the educational dreams of students in Kansas, 18 other states and 10 foreign countries.
