IU Kokomo Announces Honor Lists For Fall 2018 Semester

KOKOMO – Six hundred sixty-three full-time Indiana University Kokomo students earned chancellor's list or dean’s list honors for the fall 2018 semester.

Chancellor's list students earned a 4.0 grade point average (GPA), while dean’s list students earned a minimum 3.5 GPA on a scale of 4.0, while carrying at least 12 credit hours throughout the grading period.

Students on the list, by hometown, included:

• Akron: Carissa R. Ziemek.

• Mentone: Brynda Krueger.

• North Manchester: Ali Nichole Casper, Caitlin Gene Eltzroth, Melissa Saucedo, Paige Nicole Wagoner.

• Warsaw: Ciara Stout.



Big Man On Campus At Trine University Raises Nearly $6,000 To Fight Breast Cancer

ANGOLA – The 19th annual Big Man on Campus, sponsored by Trine University's Theta Phi Alpha sorority, raised $5,932.37 for the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer.

The funds were raised through a week of activities that culminated with a pageant on Feb. 8 in the T. Furth Center for Performing Arts.

Eight male students competed in this year's BMOC event. Austin Nault, a senior from Rochester, majoring in design engineering technology, came in first and was named Big Man on Campus. Caleb Herber, a junior from Fort Wayne, majoring in design engineering technology, was named Mr. Pink Ribbon, which recognizes the contestant chosen by the other competitors for showing the most enthusiasm and sportsmanship.

The other contestants included: Andrew Barrett, a junior from Huntertown, majoring in mechanical engineering; Logan Bowling, a senior from Vallonia, majoring in computer engineering; Brody Dyer, a junior from Eaton Rapids, Mich., majoring in design engineering technology; Zachary McKee, a senior from Syracuse, majoring in exercise science; David Gaff, a senior from Bristol, majoring in civil engineering; and Scott Beckmann, a senior from Auburn, majoring in civil engineering.
