A 15-year-old Claypool girl died Saturday morning in what police are calling a "tragic accident" involving a campfire.
Tiffani England reportedly was burned early Saturday morning, shortly after midnight, when gasoline was thrown into a campfire.
She was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, and then transported to St. Joseph Burn Unit, Fort Wayne, where she later died from her injuries.
England was a freshman at Warsaw Community High School.
Grief counselors are available for students and staff today, police said.
According to Indiana Stata Police, Bremen Post, the matter is considered an accident, although it remains under investigation by their agency and by the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department.
