Editor, Times-Union: God’s design for women is to live a healthy, vibrant, and balanced life. But, often we are pulled in so many different directions that it becomes difficult to keep that balance. We yearn for ways to quiet the chaos and make life more manageable.
I invite you to join women from Warsaw and surrounding areas as we focus on restoring the balance God desires by Calming the Chaos women’s conference Oct. 1, 2011, 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Warsaw Wesleyan Church. The cost is $15 and includes a continental breakfast and lunch.
This is the second year for Warsaw Wesleyan’s Designed by God Women’s Outreach Ministry to host a conference. The conference focuses on connecting with women in our community.
General session leader the Rev. Wanda Carter will teach and enlighten with her wit and wisdom as she shares about her own life experiences. Formerly of Winona Lake, Carter now resides in Star City. “We all face many chaotic issues as women in the workplace and our roles as wives, mothers, sisters and friends,” she said. Her sense of humor, musical ability and insightful delivery promise to entertain and inspire, as we learn how God guides us in Calming the Chaos?
Breakout sessions will enhance understanding and allow more interaction among attendees. Session titles include:
- Healthy Living, Healthy You – nature’s way to support physical, emotional and mental health. - Re-Fashion with Passion – using your existing wardrobe as a canvas, apply accessories to create new looks for each fashion season. - Grace Your Space – organization for capturing calm in your home. - The Simple Art of Couponing – tips and techniques for navigating the coupon craze and meal planning ideas.
