Editor, Times-Union: This letter is in regards to CAFO. Yay or nay, which way to go?
But only the farmers have come out with the guidelines and money they have to spend, to be able to turn to this kind of farming.
So far Marjorie Vance has an opinion and a lot of secondhand knowledge, nothing concrete. She gets mad if someone disputes her and gives her their opinion. That may not be what she wants to hear but oh well. Everyone is allowed to have one even if you dont like it.
The farmers are trying to support their families the best way they know how, but that doesn't matter to her, only what she wants.
The farmers have been around, what, five, six generations? You have been in your house, what, 10 to 30 years? They have a right to their livelihood as much as you do.
And the stink? Well have you ever been near a pig, dairy or chicken farm? Yeah, they stink. Did you think they would smell like roses? Sorry not going to happen.
Oh and a passing thought to Mike Ragan. Best you research the Christian faith, and find out how much blood it is on its hands. I think you would be surprised at what you find.
