Don't drive drunk New Year's Eve, call a cab.
Once again, Fast Cab Inc. is offering free cab rides Friday from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m.
Dave Cesaretti, Fast Cabs owner, said over the years the 19-year-old taxi company has provided "hundreds and hundreds" of rides to people within the Warsaw city limits. This year, with New Year's Eve on a Friday night, he expects the company will provide many more.
For a free ride New Year's Eve within the city limits, call 269-2222. Reservations can be made in advance. Typically, a cab will arrive for pickup within 15 minutes.
Cesaretti said without the generosity of the sponsors, the annual free cab rides would not be possible.
The sponsors this year include Rex's Rendezvous, Time Out Inn, Holiday Bowl, The Eagles, Service Liquors, Bennigan's, Liquid Assets, Schrader's Automotive, Hoggles, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Homer's Hideaway, Nelson's Beverage and City Beverage.
"Through the help of the sponsors," said Cesaretti, "this is the only way we can do this."
