C. David Luckenbill, 74, went home to be with his Lord and Savior   at 1:55 a.m. April 12, 2015, at Millers Merry Manor, Warsaw.
He was born Dec. 8, 1940, in Muncie, to Lewis Franklin and Helen Hope Hughey Luckenbill. On Aug. 1, 1964, in Syracuse, he married Patricia “Pat” Ginter, who survives.
He is a 1959 graduate of Warsaw High School. He enlisted in the United States Navy June 30, 1959, through Warsaw; served in the Vietnam War; and was honorably discharged through Treasure Island in San Francisco, Calif., at the rank of HM3.
He lived most of his life Warsaw and was a design engineer. He was a member of First Brethren Church, Warsaw, where he was a former deacon.
Also surviving are a son, Chris Luckenbill, Indianapolis, a daughter, Lora (and spouse Paul) Avery, Midland, Mich.; four grandchildren: Rob Spaulding and Megan (and spouse Alex) Courtney, all of Midland, Mich.; and Avrie and Bailey Luckenbill, both of Indianapolis; three great-grandchildren, Caleb, Jenica and Danika; two sisters, Donna (and spouse Kliff) Kreicker, Covington, Ky., and Dorian (and spouse Jim) Shields, Williamstown, Ky. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Titus Funeral Home with Pastor Kenneth Hunn, former pastor of First Brethren Church, Warsaw, officiating.   Military honors will be conducted by Warsaw’s American Legion Post #49 and VFW Post #1126. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan St., Warsaw.
