Several petitioners were ordered by the Kosciusko County Board of Zoning Appeals Tuesday to clean up their property.
Jay Miller petitioned for a variance to permit allowing an existing mobile home to remain as placed 10 feet from the road right of way and to allow two existing sheds to remain 23 feet from the road right of way and five feet from the north side line. The property is on the north side of EMS B7A Lane and zero feet west of Ind. 13 in Tippecanoe Township. The petition was approved, but Miller has two months to clean the property up.
Bruce Bibler was given a year to clean up his property. His petition, which was approved, was for an exception for the change and alteration of a nonconforming use to allow an addition to existing light manufacturing nine feet to the west property line in a commercial district. The property is on the west side of CR 175E and 165 feet north of Center Street in Wayne Township.
If Travis McCoy doesn't clean up his property in six months, the BZA will seek legal action for him to clean it up. The property is on the south side of CR 575N and zero feet east of Ind. 19 in Etna Township.
A few other petitions were postponed by the board for more information.
From Gene Leeuw, the board wanted a better site plan and tabled his petition for a month. The property is on the south side of Sunrise Drive and zero feet east of Rosella Street in Turkey Creek Township.
Tom Finlinson needs to present the board a proposal for access to his property. The property is on the east side of Hatchery Road and zero feet north of Hatchery Road in Turkey Creek Township.
Both of Michael Ballinger's petitions were continued a month so the zoning board can take a look at his property. His exception was for the purpose of the construction of an oversized accessory building where maximum size allowed by ordinance is 576 square feet in a residential district.
The variance petition would permit allowing the accessory building to be built 5-1/2 feet from the east property line, 5.5 feet from the north property line and 11 feet to the west right of way.
