BZA OKs 2 RequestsWarsaw Board of Zoning Appeals approved requests by two businesses, both seeking to expand opportunities for storage.

In one request, the board approved a special exception sought by Genesis Properties to construct an outside storage area in an Industrial 2 zone.

The property at 4015 Corridor Drive is north of U.S. 30 and east of CR 250E.

The outdoor storage area will be completely enclosed by a solid fence and at least 8 feet tall.

In the other request, Brandon Schmitt was granted approval to construct an additional accessory building to store trucks, trailers and business equipment. The property at 504 E. Baker St. is near Ranch Road on the city’s south side.

The property is in an Residential 1 zone and spans 39 acres.

The property is large enough that neighbors would likely not be able to see the building, according to Assistant City Planner Justin Taylor.
