Byerly Honored At Butler As Lilly Scholar

INDIANAPOLIS - Chase Byerly, Warsaw, is one of 29 freshmen attending Butler University on full scholarship as part of the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Program.

Selected from community foundations from across the state, the Butler students were among 219 students awarded scholarships this year. With 29 Lilly Scholars, Butler has the second-highest number of scholars among Indiana universities.

Now in its 12th year, the program provides a scholarship for each recipient that covers full tuition and required fees, plus $800 per year for books and supplies.

Butler's Lilly Scholars were honored at a reception hosted by Butler President Bobby Fong Aug. 27 on the Butler campus.
