Editor, Times-Union:
On Nov. 11 our country was paying respect and honoring our veterans, thanking them for all they have done.
Many great men and women have given their lives for the freedom we have today.
I noticed our commander-in-chief was not in the United States on this special day.
Obama should have been on sovereign American soil on Veterans Day ... period.
But maybe I'm being too harsh on him, after all it has to be hard trying to fly with the eagles when you're wearing turkey feathers.
He heard a whisper on Nov. 2. He will hear a roar in 2012!
And that's change I can live with.
