Bussard Powers Valley Past Southwood

WABASH – The Tippecanoe Valley girls basketball team dominated in a 74-33 Three Rivers Conference win Monday at Southwood. 

Sophie Bussard led the Lady Vikings (14-5, 6-1 TRC) with 20 points, while Sidney Wagner scored 18 points. 

Valley led 19-12 after the first quarter before taking a 33-20 lead into halftime. 

They were up by 22 points after the third quarter, and cruised to victory in the fourth. 

The game was rescheduled from Saturday, after the initial contest was postponed because of weather conditions. 

Valley will play today at 7:30 p.m. at Wawasee. 



Wawasee Routed

PLYMOUTH – Casey Schroeder scored 13 points, but the Wawasee girls basketball team lost 65-39 in a Northern Lakes Conference matchup Monday at Plymouth. 

The score was tied at 13 after the first quarter, but Plymouth broke open the game with a 21-point second quarter to take a double-digit lead into the break.

The Lady Warriors scored just four points in the fourth quarter, and lost by a heavy margin despite outscoring Plymouth in the fourth. 

Jada Carter added 11 points for Wawasee (4-16, 0-5 NLC), while Halle Reichard led Plymouth (15-5, 4-2 NLC) with a game-high 25 points. 

The game was a makeup from Saturday’s contest, which was rescheduled because of weather. 

Wawasee will host Valley today at 7:30 p.m.

Valley Pummeled By Plymouth In Pool

The Tippecanoe Valley girls and boys swim teams lost a home meet Monday against Plymouth. 

Valley’s girls team lost 119-60, while its boys team fell 112-51. 

Valley’s Olivia Livengood won the 200 individual medley in 2:31.36 and the 100 butterfly (1:09.59). 

The Vikings’ Dakota Prater won the 200 freestyle (2:07.54) and the 500 freestyle (5:41.63). 



Wawasee Freshman

Take Fire From Fairfield

Landon Gause scored 13 points to lead the Wawasee freshman boys basketball team to a 37-27 home win over Fairfield. 

Mason Possell added 11 points for Wawasee (9-5, 2-3 NLC).

The Warriors will host Concord Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
