SILVER LAKE - Burglars fled this morning with about $700 in cash and coins after being caught inside a Silver Lake business.
Both the owner of Silver Inn, East Main Street, Silver Lake, and police responded to an alarm at the business at about 4:25 a.m. today.
The owner arrived first and discovered two suspects still inside the building. The two males reportedly fled by crashing out through the front door and then ran southeast through an alley.
A tire tool and a red baseball cap were left behind by the alleged burglars.
The incident is being investigated by the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department.
