Paragon Medical Names New Chief Compliance Officer
PIERCETON - Pierceton-based Paragon Medical announced the addition of Michael Gosmeyer as chief compliance office and vice president of quality and regulatory affairs.
Gosmeyer joins Paragon after having served as the director of regulatory affairs at the headquarters of Hill-Rom, a global medical device company. He has spent the past few years managing and overseeing company wide Regulatory and Quality Systems, as well as, all FDA interface points. Previous positions with Hill-Rom include director of auality assurance where he was responsible for manufacturing operations in Europe, Mexico and the United States.
In addition to his quality management experience, Gosmeyer also has a strong engineering background and has held various engineering management positions overseeing product engineering, design assurance, product life-cycle management and continuous improvement.
He is Six Sigma Greenbelt Certified and holds an MBA, as well as a bachelors degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University.
In his new role, Gosmeyer's span of quality and regulatory responsibilities will give him oversight of Paragon's current Global Quality Organization.

Kosciusko REMC linemen Zac Lock and Mike Whitaker recently completed the Rural Electric Apprenticeship Program offered through the Indiana Statewide Association of Rural Electric Cooperatives.
They were awarded Certification of Completion Diplomas from the U.S. Department of Labor at a graduation ceremony in Indianapolis held Jan. 29, 2011.
Lock and Whitaker were both promoted to journeyman lineman positions upon their graduation from REAP. As part of their training, the two also completed coursework that resulted in their receiving an associate of applied science degree from Ivy Tech State College.
"Zac and Mike should both be very proud of their accomplishments, and the hard work they have done to achieve their journeyman lineman status," said Bruce Goslee, KREMC manager of engineering and operations. "We congratulate both of them for their dedicated efforts in completing the apprenticeship program."
The REAP program requires that future linemen complete a four-year apprenticeship, completing 8,000 hours of on-the-job training and 576 hours in the classroom.
