Leesburg Fire Department was called to the scene of a 12:54 p.m. fire Thursday on EMS C16 Lane, where Metodi Bolkoff had been raking and burning leaves. The fire apparently got out of control and spread to the house, where the vinyl siding caught fire and the fire then entered the home through a kitchen window. Warsaw Fire Department provided manpower assistance to the LFD. Damage to the structure and contents is estimated at $15,000 to $20,000. The home also sustained smoke damage throughout.
