Burl L. Knoop, 73, of the Warsaw area, died at 5:40 p.m. March 9, 2010, in Mason Health and Rehab, Warsaw.
He was born Nov. 11, 1936, in Warsaw, to Paul and Gladys Munson Knoop.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and was honorably discharged Dec. 11, 1959. He was a self-employed welder, loved gardening and was an avid fisherman.
Surviving are five sons: Brian (and spouse Heather) Knoop, Lance Knoop and Anthony Knoop, all of Warsaw; Kent (and spouse Danna) Knoop, Goshen; and Mark Knoop, South Carolina; a sister, Marva (and spouse Phillip) Kammerer, Yorktown; a former companion, Louise Knoop, Goshen; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Brent Knoop.
Services will be at noon Monday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, officiated by Pastor Gary Roberts of United Pentecostal Church, Goshen. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Warsaw.
