Burket Fire Department firefighters responded to an early morning barn blaze at CR 800 W. 600S, Burket.
Fire Chief Kevin McSherry said that the homeowner, Devon Zimmerman, was on his way out to do his chores at 4 a.m. when the fire began. McSherry said there were bails of hay and a tractor in the barn when it caught fire.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation. The barn was a total loss.
