NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING UPON PETITION
FOR VACATION OF PUBLIC WAY
STATE OF INDIANA
COUNTY OF KOSCIUSKO
IN RE: PETITION TO VACATE A PUBLIC WAY,
BRETT R. BURCH and DENISE L. BURCH, Petitioners
BEFORE THE TOWN COUNCIL OF SILVER LAKE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Brett R. Burch and Denise L. Burch, as
Petitioners, have filed a verified Petition to Vacate a Public Way with
the Town of Silver Lake seeking the vacation of a portion of an unde -
veloped public way, which Petition has been set for hearing before the
Town Council on the 10th day of January, 2018, at 7:00 p.m The hear -
ing will be held in the Silver Lake Town Meeting Hall, 604 N. Jefferson
St., Silver Lake, IN 46982. The portion of the undeveloped public way
for which vacation is sought, is situated in the Town of Silver Lake,
Kosciusko County, State of Indiana and is more particularly described
as follows, to-wit:
A TRACT OF LAND IN COURTLAND PARK AS RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK
3, PAGES 379 AND 380 IN THE OFFICE OF THE RECORDER OF KOSCIUSKO
COUNTY, INDIANA MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:
BEGINNING AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF LOT #7 IN SAID PLAT OF
COURTLAND PARK; THENCE WESTERLY ALONG THE EXTENDED SOUTH LINE
OF SAID LOT #7, 34.8 FEET MORE OR LESS TO THE LOW WATER MARK OF
SILVER LAKE; THENCE NORTHERLY ALONG SAID LOW WATER MARK TO THE
INTERSECTION WITH THE EXTENDED NORTH LINE OF LOT #6; THENCE
EASTERLY ALONG SAID EXTENDED NORTH LINE, 43.3 FEET MORE OR LESS
TO THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF LOT #6; THENCE SOUTHERLY ALONG THE
WEST LINE OF LOT #6 AND LOT #7 TO THE PLACE OF BEGINNING
CONTAINING 0.07 ACRES MORE OR LESS.
ANY PERSON desiring to be heard may file an objection or com -
ments with the Clerk-Treasurer of the Town of Silver Lake, Indiana and
any person may appear at said hearing to be heard in support or
objection to the Petition filed herein. The hearing may be continued
by the Town Council without further public notice.
A copy of the Petition is on file in the Clerk-Treasurer of the Town of
Silver Lake, Indiana.
