The Ohio State University Marching Band came to town Friday for pre-game and halftime performances at the Warsaw-Goshen football game. Friday afternoon the band practiced at Fisher Field and at 6:20 they performed at a pep rally at Lakeview Middle School gym. The Warsaw performances were a warmup for the band before their halftime performance Saturday in South Bend at the Notre Dame-Ohio State game. The visit was arranged by Warsaw resident John Elliott, who was a member of the band in the 1960s. Elliott contacted Ohio State officials nearly two years ago after he learned the band would be in South Bend.
