Jennifer Brumfield, assistant principal of Warsaw Community High School, has been named Indiana Assistant Principal of the Year by the Indiana Association of School Principals.
The award is part of the McDonald's-NASSP (National Association of Secondary School Principals) assistant principal recognition program.
Brumfield was selected based on her willingness to take risks to help students, ability to anticipate and solve problems, and success in improving the school's learning environment.
Brumfield will be honored at the McDonald's/NASSP Leadership Forum for the 21st Century, April 26-29, at McDonald's headquarters in Oak Brook, Ill.
McDonald's Corp. sponsors the event for the 53 assistant principals who represent each state, Washington, D.C., New York City, and the Department of Defense Dependents Schools.
