MENTONE - Bruce James Leslie, 56, of Tucson, Ariz., and formerly of North Webster, died May 10, 2010, in Hospice Family Care Center, Tucson.
He was born May 26, 1953, in Chicago, Ill., to James L. and Doris P. Whetstone Leslie. He married Elizabeth Nappier, who survives.
He worked at Zimmer for more than 20 years and after moving to Arizona, worked as a border patrol guard. He also drove truck in both Indiana and Arizona. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of North Webster American Legion. He had been a volunteer fireman on the North Webster Fire Dept.
Also surviving are two daughters, Diane (and spouse Bryan) Wirth, South Bend, and Jennifer (and spouse Christopher) Frey, Fort Wayne; a stepdaughter, Tracie Willis, North Webster; and six grandchildren: Amarae Stouder, Liddia Frey, Christopher Grady Frey Jr., Brittany, Brianne and Brooklynn. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Larry Lee Leslie.
A graveside service will be at a later date in Mentone Cemetery.
King Memorial Home, 101 N. Tucker St., Mentone, is in charge of arrangements.
