AUBURN - Bruce E. Williams, 73, formerly of Warsaw, died March 24, 2011, at Wesley Health Care, Auburn.

He was born April 23, 1937, in Muncie, to Harold and Eva Mae Miller Williams. On Nov. 18, 1989, in Columbia City, he married Carol Vogts, who died Jan. 8, 2008.

He graduated from Auburn High School in 1955 and was a union arbitrator for United Auto Workers. He was a member of the UAW and Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 1107. He received the Sagamore of the Wabash Award from Gov. Evan Bayh.

Surviving are a daughter, Rhonda (and spouse Stanley) Freed, Auburn; a son, Aric Williams, Wolcottville; three stepchildren, Tabitha (and spouse Greg) Lanning, Warsaw, and Tiffini and Todd Vogts, both of Fort Wayne; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; a sister, Jackie (and spouse Ralph) Carnahan, Auburn; and a brother, Hal (and spouse Marlene) Williams, Auburn.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, Auburn, with Pastor David Cripe officiating.
