SYRACUSE - Bruce D. Niles, 53, of Milford, died unexpectedly at 8:14 p.m. Jan. 5, 2009, in Goshen General Hospital.
He was born March 18, 1955, in Elkhart, to Lester E. and Rosa M. Smith Niles. On May 8, 1981, in Milford, he married Brenda K. Howard, who survives.
Living most of his life in the Syracuse and Milford area, he graduated from Wawasee High School, Syracuse, in 1973. He worked at Supreme Corp., Goshen, for 20 years and was a member of Milford First Brethren Church.
Also surviving are two daughters, Jennifer (and spouse Michael) Young, Jacksonville, N.C., and Aimee (and fiance Kenny Miller), Milford; a sister, Bonnie L. Huffer, Silver Springs, Fla.; and two brothers, Lester W. Bill (and spouse Paula) Niles, New Haven, and Brad L. Niles, Syracuse. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Brethren Church, Milford, with the Rev. Billy Hesketh officiating. Burial will be in Milford Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse, and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.
