Kosciusko County Solid Waste Management District is accepting food and beverage-holding glass as recycled material again. New bins, a brown one for colored glass and a green one for clear glass, have been placed at recycling stations: in Warsaw on South Union Street, in Leesburg, Milford, Syracuse, North Webster, Silver Lake and Mentone. Only food and beverage-grade glass is accepted. No lamps, drinking glasses, window glass or ceramics are allowed. When the wrong glass is thrown in, it ruins the entire collection. Remove all lids from the glass and discard. Rinse to remove excess foods and liquids. For more information, call the KC Depot, 222 S. Union St., 574-372-3087. Photo by Gary Nieter, Times-Union
