Brill Named CenturyTel GM

CenturyTel and EMBARQ have named Mike Brill vice president/general manager for Indiana and Michigan.

He will be located in Warsaw.

Brill will direct the performance of the CenturyTel and EMBARQ combined company throughout Indiana and Michigan as well as manage local customer support and growth opportunities.Brill has 26 years of telecom industry experience. He most recently led network services field operations for EMBARQ in Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey which included installation and repair of business and residential services as well as operation maintenance.

Brill holds a master's degree in Business Administration from St. Francis College in Fort Wayne, a bachelor's degree from Tri-State University in Angola, and is a certified senior professional with the Society of Human Resource Management.

Brill resides near North Webster with his wife, Sandi, and their two sons, Chris and Cameron.

EMBARQ and CenturyTel completed a merger on July 1. The company will begin operating as CenturyLink later this year. The combined company had an operating presence in 33 states, and approximately 7.5 million access lines, 2.1 million broadband customers and approximately 440,000 video subscribers as of March 31, 2009.
