WABASH – Bret A. Harvey, 54, Huntington, passed away at 4:10 p.m. March 7, 2016, at Parkview Regional Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 2, 1961, in Wabash, the son of Dick and Dawn Graves Harvey. On July 9, 1994, in Pierceton, he was united in marriage to Sarah J. Adams, who survives.
He was a 1980 graduate of Warsaw Community High School. He served in the Marine Corp from 1981 to 1985 and was stationed at 29 Palms, Okinawa and Camp Lejeune. He had worked in the orthopedic industry for 28 years. He had worked at Biomet, Zimmer, Oak View Tool, Fort Wayne Metals Research, Haven Manufacturing and Greatbatch, Columbia City. He was a member of the College Park United Brethren Church. He loved spending time with his family; enjoyed music and to sing, and loved to read and study the Bible. He loved God, his family and his country.
Also surviving are his mother, Dawn Harvey, Wabash; a daughter, Claire Harvey, Huntington; and a son, William Harvey, both of Huntington. His father preceded him in death.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Church of God, Wabash, with Pastor Randy Dubois officiating.
