Brendon Gerard CummingsSYRACUSE – Brendon Gerard Cummings, 38, of Goshen, passed away at 10:35 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2020, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend.
He was born on Jan. 12, 1982, in Southfield, Mich., to Gerard John “Gerry” and Marta A. Kramer Cummings.
He graduated in 2000 from Divine Child High School in Dearborn, Mich., and attended Ivy Tech in Fort Wayne. He was employed at Thor Motor Coach in Goshen and formerly worked at Lippert Components in Goshen. He grew up in Detroit and lived the remainder of his life in Syracuse, Fla., and Goshen area.
He was a member of the St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Syracuse.
He is survived by parents, Gerry and Marta Cummings, of Syracuse; sister Meghan (Erik) Swonder, of Troy, Mich.; four nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan, 23 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. A rosary service will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23 in the funeral home. Funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 24 at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 6941 E. Waco Dr., Syracuse, with the Rev. Andrew Nazareth officiating. Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. Ind. 15, Warsaw. Private family burial to take place at Syracuse Cemetery.
