Brenda Peconga, 61, of Warsaw, died at 2:10 p.m. July 8, 2011, in Kosciusko Community Hospital Warsaw.
She was born Sept. 10, 1949, in Warsaw, to Arnold and Sadie Hattery Rhodes. On Nov. 14, 1987, she married Rickey Peconga, who survives.
A resident of Kosciusko County for 26 years, she was a homemaker and a former member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 258 Pierceton.
Also surviving are three daughters: Mishelle (and spouse Ronnie) Jarrell, Columbia City; Wendy Kline, Milford; and Mindy Howard, Kimmel; a son, Glenn (and spouse Martha) Smith, Pierceton; four sisters: Sharon Miller and Frieda (and spouse Neil), all of Nappanee; Darlene Menzie, Pierceton; and Marlene Rhodes, LaPorte; three brothers: Randy (and spouse Telona) Rhodes, Syracuse; Carl (and spouse Elaine) Rhodes, Middlebury; and Jerry (and spouse Lisa) Rhodes, Nappanee; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother.
Services will be noon Tuesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor William Whitaker officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
