A Bremen man was arrested Friday night on driving while intoxicated charges after being involved in a two-vehicle personal injury accident in Marshall County.
According to a Marshall County Sheriff’s Department criminal arrest news release, at approximately 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, Marshall County Dispatch received a report of a two-vehicle personal injury accident on U.S. 30 near Fir Road. Bourbon Fire and EMS, Bourbon Police and Marshall County officers responded.
During the crash investigation, officers discovered the driver of one of the vehicles - Marc Witwer, 77, Bremen - was exhibiting signs of alcohol intoxication. He was taken to the Marshall County Jail for operating a motor vehicle with a BAC of 0.15% or more and operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated endangering others. Preliminary bond amount was set at $1,500.
