AKRON – Branigan Lee Bahney, 19, Akron and formerly of Warsaw, died May 2, 2015, in an automobile accident in Fulton County. He was born Oct. 14, 1995, in Peru, to A’shel Bahney Santana and Fernando Paredes. He worked at Pike Lumber Company, Akron. He graduated from Tippecanoe Valley High School in 2014. He participated in the drama club and played football. He was a member of the Indiana Army National Guard (Unit 113 engineer) and the Mentone United Methodist Church, where he played the bass guitar and was a youth leader. Surviving are his mother and stepfather, A’shel and Ismael Santana, Warsaw; his twin sister, Victoria (and spouse Carlos) Rosas, Warsaw; a sister, Marisha Bahney, Warsaw; brother, Isaiah Bahney, Warsaw; grandmother, Shelly Bahney (and companion David Kuhn), Mentone; two uncles, Justin (and spouse Mandy) Gearhart, Akron, and Josh (and spouse Nikki) Bahney, Macy; three aunts: Lia (and spouse Jose) Rosas and Jessica Bahney, all of Akron, and BethAnn, Wabash; one nephew, Ayven Rosas, Warsaw; several cousins; and his dog, Darius. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gary Bahney; and great-grandparents, Max and Mary Jane Gearhart and Bob and Bonnie Bahney. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Mentone United Methodist Church with the Rev. Amber Karkosky-Litten officiating. Burial is in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
