On April 11, members of Boy Scout Troop 715 of Warsaw met at the Warsaw Fire Department on Main Street. Scout Leader and Warsaw Police Officer Joe Hawn arranged for the Fire Safety Merit Badge Clinic. Dave Vercauteren was the instructor for the evening’s hour and a half clinic. He was assisted by firemen Jeff Puckett, Brooks Huffer and Aaron Bolinger. During the entire time, the Scouts were attentive and asked the firemen a lot of questions. The Scouts were given homework assignments to be turned in at the next meeting. Monday, at the regular troop meeting, the Scouts brought their homemade rockets that were fired off. Some members of the Troop hiked this weekend to prepare for this summer’s Grand Canyon trip and the hike into the canyon, while others are getting ready for summer camp at Camp Chief Little Turtle.
