NAPPANEE -ÊA two-year-old Etna Green boy is in stable condition after falling out of a buggy near Nappanee late Friday afternoon.
Gene Chupp, 2, of Etna Green, reportedly stood up in the back of a moving buggy on CR 900W near CR 1100N. The boy lost his balance and fell out under the wheels of the buggy.
Chupp was taken to Elkhart General Hospital then airlifted to Kalamazoo Bronson Hospital for more treatment. He was listed in stable condition Friday evening.
Earl Chupp, 39, of Etna Green, was driving the buggy at the time of the accident, which remains under investigation by the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department.
The Nappanee Police Department, Nappanee EMS, and Nappanee Fire Department assisted the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department at the scene.
