BOW Approves Purchase Of Skid Loader

Warsaw Board of Public Works and Safety approved the purchase of a skid loader by the Warsaw Street Department Friday.

The skid loader will be bought from Bobcat of Warsaw for $33,461.72.

The board also approved Leigh Ann Denlinger to serve as Oakwood Cemetery's new secretary to replace Diane Grose, who will resign May 28. Denlinger's duties begin May 17.

The board also:- Approved a request from the Oakwood Cemetery sexton to purchase trees for the new section of the cemetery and appropriate the money out of the cemetery improvements budgets for a cost of $4,016 for 88 trees.

- Tabled an agreement between Norfolk Southern Railroad and the city for resurfacing services for Winona Avenue and Ranch Road for crosswalk markings.

- Approved event contracts for Warsaw Parks Department for "Fast Ryde" to serve as the opening entertainment for the country music concert July 23 at Glover Pavilion in Central Park at 6 p.m.

- Approved an agreement between the city and Warsaw Community Development Corp. for the city to disburse $3,500 to WCDC for the annual July 3 Warsaw-Winona Lake fireworks show over Winona Lake.
